CHS Choir Attends World-Class Concert

December 12, 2023 — Seventy-two Chardon High School choir students attended a world-class concert — the UK's The King's Singers a cappella group — at EJ Thomas Hall in Akron on Dec. 5.

CHS choir director Fritz Streiff stated, "The King's Singers vocal ensemble, which has been presenting concerts for around the last 45 years, presents a refined vocal sound with a clear tone and beautiful harmonies. This was a wonderful evening for our high school singers as they grew from hearing world-famous vocalists."

Several Disney selections were performed in the second half, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Disney.  The King's Singers closed their program with Billy Joel's "And So It Goes".

Many thanks to Chardon Schools bus drivers Ms. Stanton and Ms. Petrowski for providing transportation for this evening field trip and to the Tuesday Musical Association for generously sponsoring free student tickets for such a high-caliber concert offering and for providing a bus stipend.

Mr. Streiff added, "We were blessed to attend at no charge to the CHS singers."
