Making Moves for Kindness

March 21, 2024 (CHARDON, OH) — All the way from the Big Apple, Chardon Middle School hosted the Echo Dance Team assembly program on March 8 in the CMS gymnasium, moving, singing and speaking in an uplifting manner and sharing a powerful presentation with our students. A perfect way to end the third grading quarter.

Echo Dance Team performed a variety of dance styles, including slower contemporary songs and upbeat hip-hop routines. Sandwiched in between the choreography were uplifting anecdotes.

The dance group encouraged students to actively participate from their seats and come together as a community. By performing music that is popular today, Hilltoppers were receptive of the overall kindness, inclusivity, respect, and perseverance messages. Positive self-image was also a main theme.

Echo Dance Team consists of three performers who persevered through adversity to obtain the success they have today, and shared this with the students.

CMS Principal Adam Tomco stated in the March 8 "Notes from the Middle" school newsletter to parents, "Today marked the end of the third quarter, and we concluded it with a fantastic PTO-sponsored assembly featuring the Echo Dance Team. The Echo Dance Team brought high energy and delivered a powerful message about anti-bullying."

Thank you to the CMS PTO for generously funding this event!
