“Ms. Pavicic is an ideal candidate for this interim position,” said Superintendent Michael Hanlon. “During her tenure as Chardon High School Assistant Principal, she has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills and has a great rapport with both students and staff.”

Prior to joining CHS, Ms. Pavicic spent 15 years as an Aurora High School science educator. During that time, she completed a principal internship while completing her certification program in educational administration and gaining expertise in leading state testing, budgets, curricular mapping, and community engagement.

Outside of the classroom, Ms. Pavicic has worked as a liaison to Kent State University assisting with the Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program and has advised students in National Honor Society and Rotary. She is a Wickliffe resident and an avid runner, reader, and global traveler.

"It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as a leader at Chardon High School, and I am grateful for this opportunity," said Ms. Pavicic. "We have truly outstanding students, staff, and families, and I'm excited to continue to lead our school community to uphold our District's mission of high achievement for all students in a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment."

Also joining the CHS leadership team in an interim capacity to support Ms. Pavicic is James Reed, a retired school administrator with nearly 30 years of high school teaching and administration experience. Along with his other related positions, Mr. Reed has served as principal at the Renaissance School of Humanities and International Studies in Cleveland Heights and interim principal at Shaker Heights High School.

“We believe that Ms. Pavicic’s knowledge of our school and community, combined with Mr. Reed’s long-term administrative record, represent the ideal solution for building on the momentum of Chardon High School’s growth and its reputation as an academic institution where all students are provided with the opportunity to succeed,” said Karen Blankenship, Chardon BOE President.
