February 26, 2023 — A brave group of service-minded Hilltoppers was "Freezin' for a Reason" this past weekend, jumping into a pool of ice cold water at Gateway Plaza in Cleveland — the culminating event to the 2023 Cleveland Polar Plunge Fundraiser in support of Special Olympics Ohio.
Hilltopper fundraisers taking the plunge were Chardon Middle School educational assistant Libby Savel; Chardon Bus #17 driver Julie Petrowski; and students Tristan Fleckenstein, Danek Szczepanski and Rylen Foley. In cheering attendance was Ridge Szczepanski.
