April 27, 2022 — Did you know the school administrative professional is the keeper of the pulse of the entire school building or department in which they work? Like all Hilltopper staff members, Hilltopper administrative professionals are our heroes

We are grateful for our administrative professionals year-round, and today we recognize our administrative professionals even more publicly in honor of National Administrative Professionals Day 2022

Administrative professionals are at the front lines of school-specific and business affairs-specific communications.

What does this mean?  Answering the phones, responding to inquiries, scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, welcoming and meeting with new families, and overall being the first face of the district for all guests.

But wait there's more — school and/ department administrative professionals process student fees, transcript requests, registrations, annual updates and staff contracts.

What else? They onboard new hires; update Infinite Campus, calendars and handbooks; report attendance to our EMIS coordinator, Mrs. Dianne Farizel; order supplies and equipment; reserve facilities for the community; and ensure staffing and sub assignments for each day.

Who updates BoardDocs?  Who sets up board meetings?  Who sets up off-site events? Who orders food for events?

You know it — Administrative Professionals!

Is there more? Yes! Our school administrative professionals are the creative producers of their buildings’ newsletters and yet know when to put everything on hold to give a tissue when a child's feelings are hurt, lend a calm voice when a parent is upset, or dispense sage advice to a co-worker when it’s needed.

And yet there’s still more!

Ask an Administrative Professional about how they serve our schools with excellence every day.
