Greetings CMS Families!
1. Student schedules have been posted in Infinite Campus, along with locker assignments. Please utilize Infinite Campus to confirm a schedule, NOT Google Classroom. While several of the classes in Google have been pre-loaded, which is a new feature this year, it does require an auto-upload that can take up to 24-hours. Please remember that students and parents were asked to review course assignments in the spring before the scheduling process began - at this point schedule changes cannot be accommodated without a compelling educational reason - this would typically only be due to a student who is misplaced academically.
2. The PTO Back-2-School Bash scheduled for tomorrow, 8/13, is being postponed. The weather this week is not on our side, creating significant wet and mud spots on the grassy areas around the building. Confounding this issue is the 70% chance of thunderstorms predicted during this time on Friday. Moving the activities planned for such a large number of students to indoors just isn't feasible at this time. The festivities are currently being rescheduled during extended recess times on Friday, 8/20. The building will still be open from 1pm-3pm for students who want to walk their schedules, or for students in grades 5-7 who have locks to place items in lockers.
