September 27, 2022 — Twenty-seven Chardon High School students, together with service faculty member Mr. Mizen and additional faculty members assisting, dedicated their Sept. 8 school day to  the Gearity Elementary Food Bank. This is the first of several planned service days for CHS at Gearity for the 2022-23 school year.

Students help pack and distribute over thousands of pounds of produce delivered by Greater Cleveland Food Bank to Gearity Professional Development Elementary School in University Heights and also help distribute the free produce to the Gearity community.

This service project is made possible by the Cleveland Food Bank’s School Market program, an initiative developed to reach more children and young families at risk of hunger.

Chardon High School began been participating in the program in 2019.
