Students Spread Holiday Cheer Through Service Project

Dec. 6, 2024 (CHARDON, OH) — Students in Mrs. Bunker’s class are helping our staff members spread holiday cheer this December.

Following their curriculum, Mrs. Bunker’s students are providing a service for staff members who need help preparing their holiday cards for delivery.

Through their service project, the students are helping staff members stuff their holiday cards, place the address labels and stamps onto the envelopes and sort the letters for post office delivery.

“(The students) have enjoyed learning how to type addresses into a software program and then learning how to print on adhesive label sheets,” Mrs. Bunker said.

The program has been a big help to Mrs. Kelly Dicato, who was thrilled with the hard work of the students.

“I loved that they were willing to help and take that off my plate,” she said. “I gave Mrs. Bunker stamps, return labels, envelopes and cards and they stuffed, closed and had them ready for me to mail in one day! They even typed my addresses and printed labels for me. I truly appreciate their hard work and the hours of work it saved me.”

Mrs. Bunker said her students are grateful for the most recent job Mrs. Dicato provided them and are excited to take on more holiday card projects throughout the month of December.
