CHS Senior Sabrina Davidson elected SkillsUSA Regional Officer

Nov. 26, 2024 (CHARDON, OH) — Sabrina Davidson, an Auburn Criminal Justice student and senior at Chardon High School, has been elected SkillsUSA Regional Officer for the Northeast Region.

Sabrina was one of nine officers elected during the Regional Delegate Assembly’s Fall Leadership Conference.

The SkillsUSA Regional Officer Program is a leadership development program. These student leaders are tasked with promoting the values and mission of SkillsUSA, engaging with local communities, and fostering a spirit of collaboration and innovation within their schools. This initiative not only benefits the students involved but also strengthens the presence and influence of SkillsUSA across Ohio, contributing to a more skilled and motivated future workforce.

Regional Officers do not begin their term in office until January, after their training has been completed. The Regional Officer Training Institute takes place in Columbus where officers receive leadership training, learn to work together as a team and advocate to legislators about SkillsUSA and Career and Technical Education.

Sabrina is excited about being elected to this position and being able to serve as an ambassador for the organization, in her community, and school.

"Auburn has been one of the best decisions of my life. I have gotten such a great opportunity by doing this; everyone here is always so supportive. My goals are taken seriously whether it's to become a regional officer with SkillsUSA or to be a K-9 officer,” said Davidson.
