What happens in our community
impacts learning for students in our schools...
Let's continue to practice healthy habits to slow the spread of COVID-19.

To keep cases to a minimum, please check your child for symptoms before coming to school each day. Additionally, if you or your child are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and seek guidance from a primary health care provider.

Thank you for helping to keep yourself and others safe to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our community and school.
Chardon Schools updates the district's COVID dashboard on a weekly basis. Please see tables below for active and cumulative positive cases and quarantine cases as of 9:45AM on Monday, November 30, 2020:

Case Notifications

Chardon Schools continues to use its Blackboard Connect email system to notify the school community when a suspected positive or confirmed positive COVID case - staff member or student - has been reported to the district. The school district's initial responsibility is completed within 24 hours of its receipt of such reporting.

In the event of a confirmed positive case, Chardon Schools notifies not only the school community via Blackboard email but also provides close contact information to the appropriate health department. The county responsible for the contact tracing process is the county in which the diagnosed individual resides.

Contact Information

Case Notification Emails
Suspected case/positive case emails are sent by the Superintendent's Office, which can be reached at 440-285-4052 during school hours.

Please call us if you have a student enrolled in the district but are not receiving Blackboard Connect emails.

We kindly ask that Chardon Schools enrolled families do not unsubscribe from Blackboard Connect emails as this interrupts the flow of important communications to you and your family.
