Update Concerning Community Input on Proposed Facilities Plan

We have interviewed community leaders one-on-one. We have engaged with parents, teachers, staff and residents in listening sessions to hear your perspective. An online survey is currently in process. This is what we are hearing:

Educators are struggling to provide up-to-date education in science labs that have no running water or sinks.

Students need to dodge puddles in hallways and classrooms caused by leaking roofs.

Classroom lack sufficient electrical capacity to accommodate current technology.

Our athletic facilities require critical repairs in excess of $1 million dollars and we do not have an adequate auditorium in the district.

Our failing facilities require millions in costly repairs that drain dollars and distract from education.

There is concern that residents are unaware of the building conditions.

Our online survey is still available for you to respond. Access the survey HERE

Sincerely,

Michael P. Hanlon, Jr. Ph.D.
